And the winners are...
Cooking various delicacies turned up to be a big group event in Mercator this year. With the Annual Mercator Cooking Contest held on the 8th of March 2009 many people came together to cook various dishes from Ethiopian to South American with their floor mates. This was a floor event and on the weekend most of the floor kitchen was full of people busily cutting vegetables, adding spices, finding pots to prepare their dishes.
The event started at 3 pm and with a good mix of people in the panel of judges from professional Armark Chef to the vice president of Jacobs University. Every floor had their respective dishes lined up and a crowd of exotic f
ood enthusiasts awaited. After every floor’s dishes were tasted by the judges Vikram, our college master, would happily proclaim “Guys B2’s dish is ready for tasting!!” and instantly there would be a big rush of people to get their share of the wonderful dishes.
After enjoying the tasty dishes the panel of judges seemed to be in a difficult position to decide the winners thus they went up to the college office to discuss. After half an hour long discussion they then came with the results and the MC1 floor was declared as the winner of this year's cooking contest.
