Ever wondered who is who in the College Office? Wanted to contact someone from the team on a *very* urgent issue but you can't find any contacts? Had the awesome wish to get to know the faces of the College Office Team members, so that you could recognize them and treat them a beer next time you see them in the bar? (an admirable initiative indeed! ;-)) Here is the place for you: a list of the current team members, headed by Sammy the College Office Manager himself!

Swetha grew up in India until she joined Jacobs University in Fall 2007. The TA's from last year depict her as a hard working student, successful in studying logistics. Although she was quite pupular last year, Swetha cares a lot about personal space. As we all know, there are moments when one wants to be alone. However, this image of hers, sitting in her really clean room, reading, sometimes watching a movie, shouldn't make one label her as unapprochable; on the contrary, Swetha likes meeting people, having a smile for everyone.

Abhinav, a bright, "springy" lad from the beautiful city of Kathmandu in Nepal is the newest addition to the college office. A logistics major, he enjoys eating Momos and apparently has a penchant for the programming language Java. Always witha smile on his face, his enthusuiasm is infectious. He is the new "handy-guy" so if you need to get your fuse changed or shower fixed, go "Hola Abhinav Dai!"

Born in Bulgaria and brought up in Zimbabwe, Evgenia, best known as Eva, is a 2nd year History and Theory of Art and Literature major. An artist at heart, she can often be spotted scribbling and sketching on the marker board at the far end of the office. The best painter on our team, she even helped paint the Student Activities Centre. Always up for fun and often up to mischief, she’s a diligent, level headed worker and a patient listener too. Ever ready for a cup of Tea, here’s something that might interest many of us - she’s an awesome hair stylist! Cheers Eva! Its great having you on the team. |

Angolwisye Paul Mwakisu – or Ango as he is fondly called is always bubbling with energy. Full of enthusiasm, he is always cheerful and smiling. Originating from the wonderful county of Tanzania, he is fiercely proud of the fact that Mt. Kilimanjaro is in Tanzania and not Kenya. A skilled football player, he also has fun connecting wires. No wonder then that he is specializing in Electrical Engineering. And as for his responsibilities, he is our not so geeky webmaster and responsible for this amazing website. Oh, and is always willing to help, so if you have any questions, Ango is the man!

Dedicated, hard working, full of innovative ideas; those are three words that come to my mind when I talk about Sarah. She is a fun person to be around, her openness and love for foreign cultures are unlike anything I have seen before. She is always ready to lend a helping hand when needed and of course she always keeps time (not surprising considering she's from Germany!). We are all pretty lucky to have her in our midst... |

Rahul: our student mentor in the college office team and an inspiration in the kitchen. Rahul's creative taste buds make him a tasteful relish to the college office team. From him, I learned that watermelon gets new zest when eaten with salt and there is no thing as too much chilli. Soup for college office meetings reformed into a homely and warm event. Not only is he dedicated careful and a patient cook, he holds these qualtities as a person as well. Thank you for all the help Rahul! |
